One day God tested Abraham and told him to sacrifice his son on a mountain. Because of Abraham’s obedience to God through his willingness to sacrifice his son, the Angel of the Lord stopped him and God provided a substitute sacrifice of a ram. God told him that because of his great faith and obedience, he would bless all the nations through his descendant.

Një dite, Perëndia e testoi Abrahamin dhe i tha të sakrifikonte birin e tij në mal. Per shkak që Abrahami iu bind Zotit, një Engjull i Zotit e ndaloi dhe nuk e lejoi të sakrifikonte birin e tij. Në vend të tij, Perëndia dërgoi një dash. Zoti i tha që si shkak i besimit të madh dhe bindjes së tij, Abrahami do të ishte bekim për të gjithë popujt me anë të pasardhësve të tij.
