I grew up in a home where faith was always important, and we were often at our place of worship. My mom worked at the daycare there, so in many ways I grew up in the middle of the community. Even as a child, I felt that something was missing inside me—something I could not fill on my own.
My parents helped me learn about God and especially about Jesus. As I grew, I came to understand more clearly who He is and why I needed Him. I realized that my own mistakes and wrong choices had created a separation between me and God—something I could not fix on my own. That’s when I turned to Jesus, who came from God, and I asked Him to forgive me and restore me to God.
Since then, I’ve gone through many challenges that I could never have handled on my own. But in every situation, God has been faithful to give me peace and strength through Jesus. Today, I know I belong to Him, and my life has hope and purpose because of what He has done for me.
